Training
While I regularly ride Mountain Bike Trails in & around the Peak District, I felt these did not prepare me for the 400km ride of the Vietnam-Cambodia charity event, I normally ride 10's of km not the legs of up to 95km of the route. One of my training rides in preparation, this was up the reservoirs of the Goyt Valley in the Peak District, this was the dry bed of Errwood R eservoir in the summer of 2025: I initially signed up to the Vietnam-Cambodia event late in 2019, the start date was then October 2020. Unfortunately global events interfered with that plan as all travel was stopped due to the Covid pandemic. It was deferred to Oct 2021, then 2022, then due to organiser changes it was indefinitely delays. But, early 2025 all plans started and a new date of 16th November 2025 was set.
